The Department of Dentistry plays a vital role in promoting oral health through comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic dental services. The department offers a wide spectrum of care ranging from routine dental check-ups, oral prophylaxis, fillings, and pain management to advanced procedures such as root canal treatments, crowns and bridges, and minor oral surgical interventions.

The department is equipped with modern infrastructure to ensure high-quality patient care is committed to accurate diagnosis and effective management of oral health conditions while enhancing patients’ overall quality of life. A multidisciplinary approach is adopted through close collaboration with other medical and surgical departments, particularly in patients with systemic illnesses influencing oral health, thereby ensuring holistic and integrated patient care.

The department coordinates with medical department for systemic disease-related oral conditions, provides preventive Care Programmes such as regular dental check-ups, oral hygiene education, fluoride applications, and counselling, manages road traffic accident cases involving facial injuries, facial bone fractures, jaw pathologies, TMJ disorders, oral biopsies, and complex oral surgical cases.

The department functions with a vision to deliver ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centred dental care while supporting medical education and integrated healthcare delivery.

• Three state-of-the-art dental chairs with intraoral camera and scanner.

• Separate X-ray room with digital radiography facilities, intraoral cameras, scanners, and 3D imaging.

• Advanced equipment for root canal treatments and tooth extractions.

• Dental laboratory for prosthetic and restorative work.

• Dedicated patient consultation rooms and waiting areas.

• Mobile Dental Unit for treating non-compliant paediatric patients .
